The winning teams “Bionic”, “Mind Benders” and the honorary “Neshto Netipichno”, who won additional financial support from the local organizing partners of the #GenerationUnlimited Youth Challenge, have been working on the further development of their innovative solutions for inclusion of children and youth with disabilities in education and in societal activities.
The winners of the local challenge are upgrading their projects with the support of expert consultants, professionals in various fields so that they can secure steady and sustainable growth. The team “Neshto Netipichno” aims to adapt to the new circumstances by developing a web platform in support of their mobile application “Walkiie”. By using this platform, parents with their children who live with a disability can sign up to participate in creative workshops with volunteers, by following a predefined agenda in a specific timeslot. This kind of online group activities that take place from the comfort of a child’s home are an opportunity for creative expression, development of new skills and a great way to meet new friends.
Team Bionic also made the first steps towards perfecting their solution. Alongside the development of a new version of the 3D printed prosthetic arm, they are devotedly working on setting up a sustainable model for their project and planning out their long-term goals.
The team behind the mobile app which offers an adjusted inclusive access to digitalized menus of local establishments “Digital Menu”, team “Mind Benders” have been updating the existent and introducing new features on the app and they soon are also launching a web solution for the end-users from the restaurant business sector which will help the maintenance of existing and future database.
