Inspired by the global happenings in the sector of Creative and Cultural Industries and the limited national opportunities for the creative and cultural entrepreneurs, SmartUp Social Innovation Lab in partnership with the Union of Macedonian Professional Associations in the Creative Industries – UMPAKI is organizing the first Creative Business Cup North Macedonia 2021!
The Creative Business Cup is a unique international competition for innovative business ideas, products or services from creative and cultural industries who have the potential to grow globally.
The Creative Business Cup North Macedonia will take place on 21st of May and is open for entrepreneurs working in cultural and creative industries like Architecture, Kraft & Artisan, Design, Experiences technologies, Fashion, Film, Gastronomy, Computer Games, 3D, Toys & Games and others (see more in FAQ).
After the application process ends, only ten (10) chosen finalists will be a part of the online Bootcamp Academy where they will prepare and present their business pitch for the National competition but also use mentors and speakers through the process as a way to strengthen their business models and growth strategies.
The winner of the National Cup will get a spot in the Global Creative Business Academy – an exclusive accelerator program and will represent North Macedonia at the Global Finals 2021 during the industry forum BRIGHT in Copenhagen in June.
The second and third place teams will get a pass to attend the Global Finals 2021, meet and connect with entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors from over 80 different countries.
Due to this year’s particular circumstances, the 2021 National Cup is going to be entirely virtual! This opens up a space for more national and international speakers, mentors and juri members to join but also gives startups an opportunity to pitch their business ideas to an international audience.
