On April 29, SmartUp – Social Innovation Lab hosted a workshop focused on the transformative power of Datatelling Stories, led by our representative Milena Ignjatova. The session brought together a diverse group of educators, youth workers, and environmental experts, to explore how to turn raw data into powerful, engaging narratives that not only inform but also inspire, connect, and encourage action.

The workshop emphasized how to identify credible data sources and how to effectively structure a story that brings key insights to life. The focus group was guided through the process of turning complex climate data into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with audiences. They also explored how to use visual elements strategically to improve understanding and audience engagement. This hands-on approach gave attendees a chance to deepen their understanding of climate change while honing the skills needed to communicate this critical information more effectively.

At the end of the workshop, the focus group was not just more skilled in interpreting and presenting climate data but also empowered to create stories that inspire action.
We are counting on them to keep telling their stories with clarity, creativity, and integrity—because the next story that sparks real climate action could be theirs.
