SmartUp, within the Community Mobility Cooperatives project, supported by the European Climate Initiative (EUKI), is conducting a study to map the current state, identify key challenges, and explore opportunities in the areas of energy communities and sustainable mobility in the Southeast European region.
The research looks to gather insights from a broad range of stakeholders — including municipalities, energy communities, civil society organizations, businesses, and infrastructure operators — focusing on how community-led investment models can support the deployment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The collected insights will contribute to the development of regional policy recommendations that promote safe, accessible, and socially inclusive electric mobility. These recommendations will inform policymaking, infrastructure planning, and investment approaches that address both local needs and broader regional priorities.
