Our team at SmartUp – Social Innovation Lab is happy to share the progress we’ve made in our project “Promoting Safe School Environment”. Two new courses were developed, targeting the application of ICT tools in everyday teaching for entry and advanced level, and we are currently developing the third one on prevention and protection from violence.
The first course “Application of ICT Tools in Everyday Teaching (Entry Level)” where we covered some basic tools for interactive lessons has finished testing and will be available for the project schools as of the beginning of October. The second course, covering some more advanced tools such as Canva and ChatGPT, is in its final stage and is expected to be finished very soon.
All courses will be available in Macedonian and Albanian, and hosted on EduLab Platform for professional development, recently launched by SmartUp.
These courses will allow the teachers to acquire technical skills that will improve the quality of school classes through gamification, interactive learning and learning through play. At the same time, they will shine light on the importance of a safe and inclusive school environment without violence.

This activity is implemented by SmartUp – Social Innovation Lab Skopje, as part of the project Promoting a Safe School Environment. The project is carried out by the Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA in partnership with the Macedonian Civic Education Center, the First Children’s Embassy in the World “Megjashi,” and SmartUp – Social Innovation Lab Skopje, with financial support from the Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation.
