Paving the Way to a Stronger, More Resilient Sveti Nikole Under the Pathways2Resilience Program

On May 14, SmartUp – Social Innovation Lab held another community engagement workshop as part of the ongoing Pathways2Resilience project in the Municipality of Sveti Nikole.

The primary focus of the workshop was to explore what a climate-resilient future for Sveti Nikole might look like. In an inclusive and participatory setting, representatives from local institutions, the business community, civil society organizations, and residents came together to begin shaping a shared long-term vision for the municipality. This visioning process served as a foundation for identifying the priorities, actions, and partnerships needed to support sustainable and adaptive development

During the session, participants examined several potential future scenarios for Sveti Nikole in the context of climate change, identified signals and indicators that may reflect future trajectories, and considered the social, technological, environmental, economic, and political factors influencing both present conditions and long-term outcomes. Through a combination of individual reflection and collaborative group work, participants initiated the development of a shared vision for a more resilient Sveti Nikole and proposed preliminary ideas for moving toward that goal.

We’re excited to move forward together on this transformative journey – building a more resilient and sustainable Sveti Nikole for all.

This activity is part of the project “Resilience Lab Sveti Nikole”, coordinated by Municipality of Sveti Nikole, in partnership with SmartUp – Social Innovation Lab, and part of the #Pathways2Resilience program.
