Call for High School Students – Addressing Everyday Social Challenges Through Media

The Mediathon is an exciting initiative aimed at empowering high school students aged 14-19 to create impactful media content addressing important social challenges.

With a focus on media literacy, storytelling, and teamwork, the event will bring together 30 students from six schools in Skopje to work collaboratively over the course of four months, from September to December 2024. Throughout the event, students will have the opportunity to explore key societal issues, including bullying, inclusion, and promoting the common good, while developing creative media campaigns to address them.

The program features two hands-on workshops, along with individual team sessions, to help participants bring their ideas to life. The teams will benefit from mentorship in media production and digital communication. Key activities include:

  • Workshop 1: Defining challenges and developing ideas (October 10, 2024)
  • Workshop 2: Preparing and sharing media content (October 22, 2024)
  • Mentorship: Continuous support and feedback from media experts
  • Team Work: Independent work sessions to develop campaigns

Interested schools should form teams and apply before the deadline on September 23, 2024 at the following link: https://bit.ly/47uCbb0.

Participants will receive certificates recognizing their efforts and skills gained after completing the mediation.
