Last week, our team attended the two-day Pathway2Resilience kick-off workshop in The Hague. This exciting initiative aims to support the region of Sveti Nikole in developing innovative and transformative climate adaptation strategies.
At the workshop, we had the opportunity to connect with fellow participants, share insights, and discuss various approaches to building climate resilience. Our team, including director Nikolco Gosev and representatives from the municipality of Sveti Nikole, Mayor Dejan Vladev and project coordinator Ivana Dimitrova, were thrilled to be part of this collaborative effort.
This workshop highlighted several key components of the Pathway2Resilience program and put emphasis on the concept of Innovation Practice Groups. These groups bring together regional experts and practitioners to tackle specific community challenges and share best practices.
The Pathways2Resilience program will provide an 18-month-long capacity-building program, equipping the participating regions with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to identify and strengthen the key competencies and capabilities needed to transition to climate resilience.
For our commitment to this project, we will dedicate time and effort to create:
- A climate resilience strategy.
- A climate resilience action plan.
- A climate resilience investment plan.
As we embark on this transformative journey, we are excited to share our progress and learn from our peers. Together, we can build a more resilient and sustainable future for Sveti Nikole.
This activity is part of the project “Resilience Lab Sveti Nikole”, coordinated by the Municipality of Sveti Nikole in partnership with SmartUp – Social Innovation Lab and part of the #Pathway2Resilience program, financed by EIT Climate-KIC.
